SCHOOL TALK

applied to all 3.

so i chose acc. as the first in each U.
i'm not sure if i'm making a mistake.
i'm not sure if that's what suits me best.
i'm not sure if i will like it.
i'm not sure if i will do well in it.
I'M STILL UNSURE!
(i have a few more days to change my mind but...)
think i'm gonna try and stick with it.
cos it's supposedly the best and most prestigious and has the best prospect.
otherwise, it will be down to the second, bussiness.
either one, i'm happy.
just give me something with maths in use, i'll be fine.

MY SMU INTERVIEW IS ON THE 3RD OF APRIL!
i'm freaking freaking out!
it's so early and i'm not prepaped even a teeny bit! the application date only closes on the 8th of april and they have already called me : (
i was at work and they called me that i was shortlisted for Bachelor Of Accountancy course interview. and i'm supposed to report to the dean office. wonderful.
alright. i'm crossing my finger that i don't screw it or make a fool of myself.
it doesn't help that rumour has it that looks matter to SMU!
and i'm not even informed if it's a one-to-one or group.

LIST OF PROS AND CONS OF EACH U (to my taste) :

SMU

Pros:
- of course, the fantastic new building. the inside is marvellous.
- the super strategic location (imagine bugis and dhoby ghaut)
- the fact that the people there are strictly bussiness people (no or rather less of freaky engineering geeks for example. eh i hope.)
- the very, very, very vocal graduates they produce.

Cons:
- the fact that it's a recently established school with not much reputation and network. (though it's catching up fast)
- acc. and buss. are 4-years courses! :(
- and maybe the higher school fees and expenses compared to the other two.

NTU

Pros:
- the only 3-years acc. course!!! with direct honours upon graduation! (what more can i ask.)
- NTU bussiness school is the most reputable.

Cons:
- oh my. don't even get me started on the DISTANCE! it's like at freaking BOON LAY! (talk about journeying east to west. every school day.)
- the old building ughhh. such a turn off. (the dilapidated hostel too)
- an insider who came to my shop shared with me that there are alot of chinas in NTU! that can't be good.

NUS

Pros:
- i just loooooveee the atmosphere of this school! their open house rocked! super vibrant and they have super fun undergraduates can! i'd love to be one of them.

- NUS itself is a top-ten in the world. (imagine the networking power.)

-again, just FUN FUN FUN. (left a pretty good impression on me!)

Cons:
- again, the 4-years course! arrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
- it's a big school which offer the widest range of courses so most probably i'll meet alot of old jc friends.
- the bussiness school is less prestigious as compared to the other two.
THE WINNER ?
